What can acupuncture treat?

Acupuncture can treat a wide variety of conditions and is very effective in treating pain and conditions or diseases that are stress induced. That said, acupuncture is not a cure all for every affliction. Prognosis will be determined on a case-by-case basis and assessed individually as a course of treatment progresses. Your acupuncturist will discuss a course of therapy with you based on your particular signs and symptoms.

In some cases, acupuncture can quickly and convincingly improve acute or chronic painful conditions that other modalities have failed to effect. In other cases, acupuncture is an effective adjunctive therapy to western medicine, alleviating uncomfortable side effects of that treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy. In still other cases, acupuncture can manage the symptoms of chronic illness rather than cure, but symptoms are brought within the level of tolerance without the use of potentially harmful side effects of medications.
