Karen’s personal journey through the mind-body healing experience began with the discovery of the ancient Japanese healing art of Reiki and Karen now holds a Master’s level certificate in Reiki. Karen also began regular practice of Qigong and now holds a teacher’s certificate from the Supreme Science Qigong Foundation.
Karen’s path also led her attend one of San Diego’s most established schools of bodywork, the Healing Hands Holistic School of Health. Karen received a solid background in circulatory, deep tissue sculpting, structural balancing, sports massage and Shiatsu.
Karen is also the creator of Yoqi©, a unique blend of Hatha Yoga and Qigong. Karen leads her students through a series of gentle Yoga postures, connecting each asana with graceful Qigong movements. The focus of the class is combining of both these beautiful modalities, creating moving meditation and balance of the Qi(life force).
